Overview

Finance is a key element in any business. A company can be excellent in many spheres however if it does not make profits the viability of the business will always be questioned. This course is appropriate for professionals and entrepreneurs who have limited or no financial background. The aim of this course is to teach you the basics of finance and financial management.

It will help you understand and interpret financial statements, conduct a cash flow analysis and gain insights into budgeting and profit planning. Financial management principles such as the time value of money, capital budgeting, financing and working capital are also covered. By the end of the course you will gain a well-rounded understanding of finance and financial management.

  • Understand the concepts of time value of money and present/future value of cash flows.
  • Identify the characteristics of debt and equity and what they mean for long-term financing.
  • Learn about working capital and what it represents to a business.
